![]() ![]() I am obviously confused.and frustrated after so many hours of experimentation.Ĭameras work great, I am leaving for Canada for 10 days and wanted to access the cameras from Canada. But trying to log in via my IP:8000 doesn't work. I also tried using 8000 as the "service port" and TCP/HTTP thinking maybe it knows to pick up from port 80 and that will transfer to port 8000. But I see nowhere to do this in the router. I'd like to set up each camera separately thus wanting to assign it different port numbers. I had a friend try it to be sure it worked outside the network and it does.īut. If I log in to my static public IP address - I get the log in to Camera 1, which I assume is because of the port 80 forward to it. It seemed to assign it to port 81 instead but I have no idea if HTTP will be "heard" on that port to transfer to the 2nd Camera. But it will not let me enter another listing for service port 80 to the IP of Camera 2 since it says is already in use or something. I enter 80 as "Service Port" and the IP address of a camera and use TCP or ALL protocol. I have set them up with their own IP's in my right submask etc.Īll set up fine via Lan and wireless both send wireless fineĪfter reading zillions of port forwarding info on IP cameras I understand it is best to forward port 80 to a high new port number so I am trying to forward to port 80.īut no where in the virtual server set up in the router does it let me set up what port to send to. I have tearing hair out for days on this.
